Pharmaceutical Branding and Brand Strategy

A pharmaceutical brand has to work three ways at once: as a clinical proposition to a prescriber, as a reassurance to a patient, and as a compliant artefact under a promotional code. Systems that ignore any of the three fall apart the first time they are localised.

In short

Hibridge develops brand strategy and identity systems for pharmaceutical products, corporate entities and healthcare organisations. Scope includes positioning and message architecture, naming support, visual identity, bilingual Arabic and English design systems, packaging and pack-family logic, and brand governance documentation that keeps execution consistent across agencies and markets.

What we do

Identity systems that hold across markets, languages and review.

Brand positioning and architecture

Portfolio and product positioning, message hierarchy, and the relationship between corporate and product brands.

Visual identity systems

Logo systems, colour, typography, iconography and photographic direction, specified tightly enough to survive a third-party agency.

Bilingual design systems

Arabic and English identity built together rather than translated afterwards — type pairing, RTL layout logic and bilingual lockups.

Packaging and pack families

Pack architecture across strengths and presentations, working within regulatory labelling requirements from the start.

Naming support

Candidate generation and screening logic, coordinated with your regulatory and trademark counsel who retain the final call.

Brand governance

Guidelines, asset libraries and review workflows so consistency does not depend on individual memory.

Approach

How we build a brand system

  1. 01

    Define

What the brand claims, to whom, and what evidence stands behind each claim.

  2. 02

    Design

Identity built and stress-tested bilingually and at real production sizes.

  3. 03

    Codify

Guidelines precise enough that another agency executes correctly without a briefing call.

  4. 04

    Govern

Review workflow and asset library so the system holds after handover.

Frequently asked questions

Do you design Arabic identity, or adapt English into Arabic?
Design. Adapting an English identity into Arabic produces predictable failures — mismatched optical weight, broken lockups, awkward line breaks. We build both scripts as a single system.
Can you work within a global brand’s existing guidelines?
Yes. Most of our identity work is local extension inside a global framework — Arabic typography, regional photography direction, market-specific applications — rather than replacement.
Do you handle regulatory labelling artwork?
We work to labelling requirements and coordinate with your regulatory affairs function, which retains approval authority on artwork.
